I started working with watercolor in September of 2017. For the longest time I wouldn't paint with watercolors and I kept making excuses as to why. We all make excuses.... I finally decided to pull out my never-before opened pack of watercolor paints after visiting a wonderful and award winning alpaca farm in Ramona, California. Upon meeting the alpaca and their caretakers up close and personal, I discovered how dedicated their staff were to these amazing creatures. The alpaca were so fluffy, soft, and friendly! I felt inspired to portray that in a painting after reflecting on all of the photographs that I took during my visit. You'll find my very first watercolor, an alpaca portrait, in the collection below.
